Dr. Laiken received his degree of Doctor of Medicine at the University of Brussels in Belgium. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, Maryland. He is board eligible in Internal Medicine. He continued his career with a private practice in Towson, as well as Acute Care Medicine. During this time he furthered his training in sports medicine with an emphasis on nutrition, biomechanics and exercise physiology. He was an event physician and medical director of equestrian and Tae Kwon Do (Martial Arts) competitions. Dr. Laiken has been certified in Advanced Life Support and maintains current basic life support certification. He received a certification in Acute Trauma Life Support at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma. He then practiced full time at the emergency department as Carroll Hospital Center where he has also worked as a hospitalist. Dr. Laiken's career continues to be active in industrial medicine with screening and monitoring workers exposure, as well as caring for acute and chronically injured workers. Dr. Laiken started his practice in outpatient primary care medicine in 1999 in Hampstead, Maryland, Carroll County.
Dr. Laiken's formal hospital affiliation includes: Greater Baltimore Medical Center, with informal referral base throughout the Baltimore area, Carroll County and Southern Pennsylvania. Dr. Laiken is a member of Med Chi (The Maryland State Medical Association) and The American Medical Association.
Amy is native of Hampstead, Maryland. She is excited to be bringing her experience and education back to make a difference in her hometown. Amy graduated with a master’s in nursing from University of Maryland in 2007 and a bachelor’s in nursing from Villa Julie College (currently Stevenson University) in 2004. She completes yearly continuing education requirements and is always interested in keeping up with the most current medical practice.
She has previous experience as a clinical professor in the nursing program of Towson University and a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency department at St. Joseph Medical Center
She served on the medical admissions team at Sheppard Enoch Pratt Hospital, handling medical concerns of the admitted patients. Prior to becoming a Nurse practitioner, she worked on various units as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Mrs. Yankolonis carries Current DEA and CDS licenses for the prescription of medicine.
In 2010 Amy Completed training in Botox, Dysport, and Dermal Filler injections. A few years later she returned for more Advanced training in Medical Aesthetics and enjoys offering these services to our patients. She is especially skilled in Skin biopsy, mole removal, sutures, ultrasound guided joint injection, sebaceous cyst removal, and more.
Mrs. Yankolonis prides herself on providing compassionate and competent care to people of all ages. She has a special interest in supporting healthy living practices, emotional health, preventative care, and maintaining an optimal body weight.
Susan is a rural Harford County native and a North Harford High graduate. She went on to complete her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University). From there she started work as a in the Surgical ICU at University of Maryland Medical Center. While working in the ICU she decided that there was more she could do to save her patients; by intervening in the primary care setting before they reached the intensive care unit. She completed her graduate studies at University of Maryland as a Family Nurse Practitioner. While in grad school she continued working at UMMC as a supplemental staff ICU nurse. She started each day in a new unit and adapted to the needs of the patients and staff she was assigned to her care. Her experience and knowledge expanded with rotations in the Trauma Recitation Unit, Neuro Trauma ICU, Trauma PACU, UMMC PACU, Cardiac Surgery ICU and stepdown, Cardiac ICU, Medical ICU, Neuro ICU and UMMC Emergency Room. She completed a Post Masters Teaching Certificate in Nursing and Health Professions to enable her to mentor the next generation of nurses. She has taught clinical rotations at Towson University as well as didactic and simulation lab at Harford Community College. She is registered as a National Certified Medical Examiner for DOT examinations.
She is excited to balance her family and professional life here in Hampstead. She and her husband have two children and she enjoys caring for patients in the community in which she lives. Susan has a personal connection with diabetes and enjoys helping her diabetic patients conquer obstacles. She also has a passion for the next generation, hoping to use the advances in medical science and information technology as well as the hard work of previous generations to make her youngest patients healthy and happy in ways never known to those before them.
When not at work you may catch her on a long run, enjoying a meal out in Hampstead, or attending a game and cheering on her kids at one of their numerous sporting activities in Hereford.
Amber was born and raised in Hampstead. She is looking forward to bringing her medical knowledge back to the community in which she and her family live. Amber graduated with her bachelors degree in nursing from York College in Pennsylvania. She then went on to complete a masters degree in nursing from University of Maryland. She is certified in Family practice. She keeps up to date on current medical practice by completing all required continuing education. Amber also enjoys teaching.
She enjoys treating people of all ages. She has special interest in helping with weight loss and helping people to stay healthy through routine screening and healthy living.
Amber is well versed in treating patients with many acute and chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol and more. She can’t wait to start helping her community to live healthier.
Jason Day is a dedicated and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with a robust background in diverse healthcare settings. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Drexel University, where he graduated with honors in 2018, Jason has committed himself to delivering exceptional patient care.
Board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Jason has extensive experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, critical care, wound care, and primary care. His multidisciplinary expertise allows him to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, running, or playing with his dogs. He is married to Rachel, who is also a nurse, and together they share a passion for health and wellness. With a commitment to holistic patient care and ongoing professional development, Jason continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of his patients.
